In conventional glass melting furnaces glass quality, which in this case means the number of seeds, used to be influenced mainly by specific pull or residence time in the melter. Two different solar glass panel production types are in use at present. FLOAT PROCESS A smaller portion of the entire solar glass panel production is made using the standard float process, but the processing is relatively expensive. Existing float lines are usually used for this purpose without any special modifications.
