It is not uncommon for those of us involved in residential care at hands-on level, to feel swamped by the extent and the depth of need. It is also far from uncommon to feel at a loss when addressing the nature of need. Certainly, this was my experience as I contemplated my remit to provide an occupational therapy service to our elderly people in residential care.
